- COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
A school board that wishes
to discuss a topic may hold a Committee of the
Whole Meeting. A Committee of the Whole Meeting
provides an opportunity for board members to ask
questions and discuss topics. There is no voting
at a Committee of the Whole Meeting. A Committee
of the Whole Meeting is subject to the same requirements
of the Open Meeting Act as any regular or special
meeting of the board: A notice of the meeting
is posted, an agenda is prepared and posted 48
hours in advance of the meeting, the meeting is
open to the public in a place convenient to the
public, and minutes of the meeting are taken.
